A Whole New World of Talent: MANA Presents Disney's Aladdin Kids

This spring, MANA scholars transported audiences to Agrabah with a spectacular production of Disney's Aladdin Kids. Through singing, acting, and dancing, our students showcased their incredible talents, confidence, and creativity, delighting family members, friends, and community supporters over two unforgettable performances.

One of the most special aspects of this year's production was its double-cast format. Lead roles were shared by two talented groups of performers on different nights, creating opportunities for even more scholars to shine in the spotlight. The result was two unique and equally outstanding performances that highlighted the depth of talent throughout our school community.

The ensemble cast truly dazzled, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and heart to every scene. Beyond the performance itself, students gained valuable experience in teamwork, public speaking, creative expression, and perseverance—skills that will serve them well both on and off the stage.

This incredible program was funded by MANAS as part of our commitment to providing enriching arts experiences for MANA scholars. Through our special partnership with The Walnut Street Theatre, students not only staged a remarkable production at MANA, but also had the opportunity to perform select musical numbers on the historic Walnut Street Theatre stage. Their talent and hard work even earned recognition from ABC News, which featured the partnership and our student performers in a special segment.

Of course, no production of this scale happens without an extraordinary team behind the scenes. A heartfelt thank you goes to Mr. Breuninger, Mr. Smith, Teacher Frank, Ms. Lawrence, Dr. Patterson, and Ms. Cirino for their dedication, leadership, and countless hours supporting our student performers. We are equally grateful to the many parent volunteers who helped with costumes, sets, backstage coordination, and everything in between. Their hard work transformed a vision into a magical reality.

Congratulations to our cast, crew, and creative team on a truly unforgettable production. The magic of Aladdin Kids will be remembered long after the final curtain call, and the confidence, creativity, and joy our students developed along the way will stay with them for years to come.
