Learning Beyond the Classroom

This year, MANAS proudly funded an overnight camping trip for MANA students in grades 6–8, giving our middle school scholars the opportunity to step outside the classroom and connect with nature, one another, and themselves in new ways. Throughout the trip, students participated in outdoor adventures and teamwork activities designed to build communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Experiences like these are an important part of a well-rounded education. Time spent outdoors encourages confidence, independence, resilience, and problem-solving — skills that help prepare students for the challenges and opportunities ahead. Working together in an unfamiliar environment also strengthens friendships and teaches students how to support one another as a team.

For many scholars, the trip was not only a chance to unplug and explore nature, but also an opportunity to discover new strengths and create lasting memories. MANAS is proud to support enriching experiences like this that help students grow both inside and outside the classroom.
